Dr. Robert Parker has been a collaborating statistician working in medical research in government, academia, and industry for over 30 years. He has worked in a broad range of clinical areas including working intermittently in HIV/AIDS. He began working in HIV/AIDs at the Centers for Disease Control in the 1980s, before the virus was identified. Other highlights of his HIV/AIDs experience includes working as a section head of the Complication of HIV Infection Research Agenda Committee within the Statistics and Data Analysis Center at the Harvard School of Public Health for the Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group from 2003-2006; and has been an Associate Director for the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics core for the Harvard University Center for AIDS Research since coming to MGH in 2013.
