Seminar Description:
The evolving global threat environment presents new and challenging implications for first responders and receivers. Join public safety, health and medical professionals for a no-cost one day seminar to hear leadership and firsthand accounts from Parisians involved in the response operations during the November 2015 attacks in Paris.

Learning Objectives:
Attendees will come away with an understanding of:

  • Managing the medical consequences of coordinated attacks, including resource allocation, coordination and communication efforts.
  • Best practices used to support the continuum of patient care needs from on scene through the healthcare
  • system. Adapting response operations in a high threat environment to maximize responder and public safety.

Health, medical, emergency management and public safety professionals

Accreditation: 
This program was designed to meet the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing, 244 CMR 5.00 for 7.8 contact hours of nursing continuing education.  Application will be submitted for 7 MA OEMS EMT/Paramedic credits.

This course is supported by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security through the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management with funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Homeland Security Grant Program.
